Oshiomhole Accuses Akpabio of Breaching Their Truce in Playful Senate Exchange

Senator Adams Oshiomhole caused a light-hearted moment in the Senate on Thursday after jokingly accusing Senate President Godswill Akpabio of breaching a private truce they had agreed to maintain.

Speaking during plenary, Oshiomhole said:

“I want to report to this House that the Senate President and I signed a truce of no more hostilities… and the Senate President breached the truce by reverting to previous matter. The truce stands, you should not violate it, I will not violate it.”

Akpabio responded with a smile and apologized, saying:

“Let me first of all apologize to Oshiomhole if whatever I said could in any way injure him or he felt offended…”

The exchange drew laughter from fellow senators and ended on a friendly note, showcasing the lighter side of proceedings in the Red Chamber.
