Popular Nigerian content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has stirred reactions online after revealing that he turned down an alleged offer from DStv to broadcast his upcoming wedding.

In a viral video shared on X, Peller claimed he would rather livestream the ceremony on YouTube, TikTok and Twitch, where millions of his followers can watch the event live.

According to him:

“DSTV is begging me that they want to stream my wedding, but I’m sorry DSTV, I’ll be streaming my wedding on Twitch, YouTube & TikTok. It will be the biggest wedding out of Africa!”

Peller is set to marry fellow content creator Jarvis (Jadrolita) on August 1, 2026.

The couple have already completed their traditional marriage rites, shared their pre-wedding photos, and have continued to make headlines with their lavish wedding preparations. Reports indicate that 12 cows were presented as part of the traditional rites, while invited guests are expected to wear the official aso ebi. Celebrity businessman Cubana Chief Priest has also reportedly pledged ₦10 million toward the wedding, while Peller revealed he has been privately attending marriage counselling as he prepares for married life.

Rather than allowing the ceremony to be broadcast on traditional television, the couple also plan to stream the wedding live across YouTube, TikTok and Twitch, making it accessible to fans around the world.

Peller’s announcement has generated mixed reactions online, with many praising his confidence while others questioned whether the event can truly become the “biggest wedding out of Africa.”
