France is advancing plans to deploy a robot army by 2040, with initial ground robotic systems expected to support its forces as early as 2027.
General Bruno Baratz, commander of future combat programs for the French Army, announced that the country aims to have “evolved systems with practical utility” ready for deployment well ahead of the 2040 target.
