Party Crisis: PDP Leaders, Governors Holds Crucial Meeting With Wike (Videos)

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and governors elected on the platform of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are currently meeting over the state of the party.

Also attending the meeting are former Governors of the PDP, who are still members of the party.

The stakeholders are expected to discuss the way forward for the party in view of the recent wave of defections and agree on the date for the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting tentatively slated for May 27.

The Governors and former Governors will also discuss the issue of coalition, how to resolve the issue of National Secretary and the coming convention slated for August.

Among those present as at the time of starting the meeting were Governors Seyi Makinde, (Oyo), Caleb Mutfwang, (Plateau), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), Peter Mbah, (Enugu), Dauda Lawal, (Zamfara).

The former governors includes Ahmed Muhammed Makarfi, (Kaduna), Bukola Saraki, (Kwara), Gabriel Suswan, (Benue), Babangida Aliyu, (Niger) Achike Udenwa, (Imo), Liyel Imoke (Cross River), Aminu Tambuwal, (Sokoto), Olagunsoye Oyinlola, (Osun), Seriake Dickson, (Bayelsa), Samuel Ortom, (Benue), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, (Enugu), Ibrahim Shekarau, (Kano), Okezie Ikpeazu, (Abia) and many others.
