Shocking: Two Uniform Sisters Arrested for Kidnapping Brother: A Betrayal of Oath

In a shocking turn of events, two sisters, Juliet Chukwu and Ngozi Nancy Chukwu, serving in Nigeria’s security agencies, NSCDC and Nigeria Immigration Service, respectively, were arrested for allegedly kidnapping their biological elder brother, Mr. Friday Chukwu.

The siblings from Amaeze village in Ebonyi State’s Ishiagu local government area who masterminded the abduction, demanding a N30 million ransom for his release.

The kidnapping incident was conceived outside Ebonyi and executed in Enugu.

The two female officers brother was kidnapped along the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway near UNTH, Ituku-Ozalla. The sisters allegedly used mind games and intelligence gathering to extort the ransom from their family.

Further investigation revealed that the sisters were also linked to another kidnapping incident involving a Chinese Mining GM, Mr. Dennis Igwe, where they collected a N10 million ransom.

With their arrest and on going investigation, has proven the efficacy of police intelligence when the police are determined to work.

The police tracked the sisters to a coded hotel where they were about to share the loot and apprehended them. The Enugu Police Command has confirmed the matter, and an investigation is ongoing to apprehend other members involved.

Where then are people safe when such betrayal of trust is of the household.
This incident no doubt raises questions about the integrity of security personnel and the trustworthiness of those tasked with protecting lives.

How could sisters, sworn to uphold the law, resort to such heinous crimes? The actions of these sisters have sparked outrage and concern among Nigerians, with many asking who can be trusted if blood relatives can betray each other.
