Court Adjourns The ₦2 Billion Assault Suit Against Odumodublvck To April 2026 – SIXT-MEDIA LANE
The trial involving Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck, whose real name is Tochukwu Ojogwu, has been adjourned to April 8, 2026, by the Federal Capital Territory High Court in a N2 billion alleged assault and battery suit filed against him.
The adjournment followed the inability of the court to sit at the Life Camp division in Abuja due to ongoing renovation work in the courtroom. SIXT-MEDIA LANE reports,
Despite the development, counsel to the claimant, Uchenna Ojembe, and counsel to the defendant, Taiwo Akinsulie, were present in court and agreed on a new date convenient for both parties to commence hearing.
The claimant, Ogbogiri Okey Levi, popularly known as Kraziecent, had instituted the civil suit alleging that the rapper assaulted him during a public event in December 2024.
According to the suit, Kraziecent claimed he was peacefully taking photographs and videos when Odumodublvck allegedly attacked him without provocation.
He further alleged that the incident caused him emotional distress and resulted in damage to his mobile phone, identified as an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
In the case before the court, the claimant is seeking several reliefs, including:
Payment of medical expenses incurred following the alleged assault.
N2 billion in damages for the incident.
A court order directing the defendant to issue a public apology across his social media platforms and in two national newspapers.
The matter has now been scheduled for hearing on April 8, 2026, when proceedings are expected to begin, subject to the completion of renovation work at the court facility.
