The Progressive Institute Empowers Local Government Officials in Imo State
The Progressive Institute (TPI) recently organized a three-day sensitization workshop for local government officials in Imo State, aimed at strengthening public sector institutions and governance. The workshop, held in Owerri, brought together officials from across the state’s 27 local government areas.

The event was graced by the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, and his deputy, who emphasized the importance of effective governance and capacity building for local government officials.

Dr. Lanre Adebayo, Director General of TPI, in his welcome address, highlighted the institute’s commitment to supporting public sector institutions and promoting good governance. He noted that the workshop was designed to equip local government officials with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver quality services to their constituents.

The workshop featured presentations and discussions on various topics, including public administration, financial management, and community engagement. The officials also had the opportunity to share experiences and best practices, and to network with their peers.

Governor Hope Uzodimma, in his keynote address, commended TPI for organizing the workshop, saying it was a timely initiative that would help to build the capacity of local government officials and improve governance in the state. He urged the officials to take advantage of the opportunity to learn and improve their performance.

The workshop was declared a success, with participants expressing appreciation for the opportunity to learn and share experiences. The Progressive Institute has pledged to continue to support public sector institutions and promote good governance in Nigeria.
