The Nigerian Police Academy 12th Regular Course Portal Officially Opens For Admission – SIXT-MEDIA LANE
The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, has officially opened its portal for admission into the 12th Regular Course of its degree programmes, calling on qualified young Nigerians to seize the opportunity to build a career in law enforcement.
The online application window runs from July 28 to September 8, 2025, giving interested candidates just over a month to apply for what the Academy describes as a “comprehensive academic and professional training for future police officers.”
According to the announcement, applicants must be of Nigerian origin by birth and must have selected the Nigeria Police Academy as their first choice during the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
A minimum UTME score of 180 is required, alongside at least six credits in no more than two sittings in WAEC or NECO, including English and Mathematics. Only SSCE results from 2021 onwards will be accepted.
Applicants must also meet age and physical requirements, being between 16 and 21 years old by October 31, 2025. Males must be at least 1.67 meters tall, while females must be at least 1.64 meters. For male applicants, a minimum chest measurement of 86 cm is also required.
Importantly, applicants must be unmarried and not pregnant at the time of admission.
Interested candidates are to visit admission.polac.edu.ng to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and pay a non-refundable fee of ₦6,000, which covers both the application and Post-UTME screening. After payment at any commercial bank, applicants are expected to fill the form online and upload their credentials, including SSCE results, birth certificate, certificate of origin, and other relevant documents.
Upon completion, applicants are required to print the completed application form along with a guarantor form which must be submitted at the screening venue.
The selection process includes a computer-based aptitude test, physical screening, medical screening, and a final interview/selection exercise.
Shortlisted candidates must present original documents and certificates from reputable sources, including a certificate of fitness from a government hospital and a guarantor form signed by a senior official.
Degree programmes are available in various faculties including Humanities, Sciences, and Social and Management Sciences. Some of the featured courses include English, Computer Science, Criminology, Biochemistry, Political Science, and Education Management.
Successful candidates will undergo five years of rigorous academic and police training, culminating in the award of a bachelor’s degree and commissioning as Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II) in the Nigeria Police Force.
