A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to express her concerns about the changing attitudes of men in today’s society.
According to her, there was a time when, if you went to a restaurant to buy food, a man would approach and offer to pay for everything.
She added that back then, even men who didn’t know you at all would walk up to you at a shopping mall, offer to shop for you, and even carry your basket around the store. But nowadays, she says, men no longer do such things, instead, they simply wait for you outside.
She also recalled how, in the past, men would often stop their cars to offer women a lift upon seeing them by the roadside. But today, she claims, such gestures of kindness have become rare.
She went on to lament how much things have changed in the country, reminiscing about 10 to 12 years ago when men were more willing to help women and showed genuine care
