“Fix PDP, Fix Nigeria” Group Supports Saraki’s Statement On Delta State Governor’s Defection To APC
The “Fix PDP, Fix Nigeria” group has expressed support for Dr. Bukola Saraki’s statement regarding the Delta State Governor’s defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC). As former Senate President, Dr. Saraki has been known for his influential roles in Nigerian politics, particularly during his tenure from 2015 to 2019.
Dr. Saraki’s statements often carry significant weight, given his experience in navigating the country’s legislative processes. His comments on the Delta State Governor’s move to APC might be seen as part of broader discussions on political realignments and their implications for governance in Nigeria.

The “Fix PDP, Fix Nigeria” group’s backing of Dr. Saraki’s statement suggests an internal PDP struggle, with some members seeking reforms or stronger stances against defectors. This development could impact PDP’s internal dynamics and strategy moving forward.
Furthermore, the group has issued a stern warning to members of the PDP’s National Working Committee who are perceived to be working against the party’s interests, stating that they are free to exit the party. This move is seen as an effort to pave the way for rebuilding and rejuvenating the party from within. By encouraging those deemed disloyal to leave, the group aims to consolidate the party’s internal structures and strengthen its position ahead of future elections.
According to Mr. Ejiro Moses, a member of the group from Delta State, “We stand firmly behind Dr. Saraki’s statement and believe that it’s time for PDP to take a strong stance against defectors and those working against the party’s interests. We will work towards rebuilding and strengthening our party for the future.”
This development underscores the ongoing internal conflicts within the PDP and the push for reform from within.
