CHIEF EDWIN OSUHOR EMERGES THE NEW LEADER OF ONU IKA

Barr Osuhor Emerges New Onu Ika Leader
A highly accomplished commercial lawyer and renowned community leader, Barrister Edwin OgomegbulemOsuhor has emerged the new leader of Onu Ika Nigeria, the apex socio-cultural organization of the Ika nation, Delta State.
Barrister Osuhor, a Knight of St Mulumba, was unveiled on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the annual gathering of Ika people tagged ‘Ogwa Ika 2024’ by the outgoing Leader, the cerebral bureaucrat, Elder Daniel Usifoh, who retired as General Manager from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd decades ago,has served in that capacity for the past 13 years.
The incumbent Head of Collective Leadership (HCL), as the President of Onu Ika is addressed, urged the incoming Leader to brace up for the enormous challenges of the office.
The new leader,71-year old retired technocrat, was the Registrar at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)Abuja at his retirement in the year 2000.
Barrister Osuhor whose father was a minister in the defunct Midwestern Region, is very well known for his fairness, outspokenness, community and national service, which has earned him numerous accolades and chieftaincy titles from different kingdoms in Delta State, including his popular title, the Edosomwan of Umunede.
The new HCL, who has spent close to 50 years at the Bar, acknowledged the enormity of the responsibilities entrusted to him and promised to give his best to Onu Ika and Ika people in general.
He is expected to resume office in October,2024.
